After iCon all of the virtual table top producers got together and
decided that the market was too small to split between us, so after man
long hours of discussion and deliberations, we decided to combine all
the tools into one mega meta tool. We know you all have questions so
here's some answers:
- How will conflicting features be resolved ?
Surprisingly, after discussing the core feature sets of the tools, it
turned out that there weren't any major conflicts, and where there were
a couple minor ones remaining, we decided to put in a preference toggle
that lets you pick which methodology to use
- There are a couple free tools, and a couple commercial tools, what is
the pricing scheme ?
Glad you asked. We did some data mining to find out what percentage of
revenue each tool provided and created a Statistical Value Chart. When
someone goes to download the software, it looks up in the chart and
compares that with how many times it's been downloaded. The value that
comes out of the chart will be: Free, $29.95, $40.00, or $45.00. The
person then pays that amount. The funds are then distributed equally to
each contributing developer. We feel this is a revolutionary step in
online business models, and expect many other corporations to follow
suite (imagine a MySqlDBOracle2).
- The different tools were written with different technologies, how are
they being merged
We knew this was going to be a problem from the start, so it's one of
the first issues we tackled. After a couple days of work we designed
and built a virtual engine that can run all of the different
technologies just as fast as if they were machine code (and a bit faster
in Director's case). The really impressive aspect of this engine is
that the previous windows only tools' features are now natively runnable
on Mac and Linux.
- Is this for real, or is it just a joke, I mean, come on, this sounds
too good to be true. Are you just pulling our leg ?
Yes! April fools !

You realize this increases our expectations... of ALL VGT's...!
