New Art Pack Available! ProBono's Dungeon Tiles 2!

Post by dorpond »

** Edit: This art pack is now part of Probono's Mega Tile Pack **

Round two! Probono and others from the Dundjinni community have been working like mad making tiles of all styles, most likely making this the largest tile set of all time! (I don't know that for sure, but I do know they have a lot and are still making more!)

Woohoo!!

Additional Credits for this art pack go to:
- Mercutio
- Bogie
- Maxxx
- DragonWolf
- Greytale (http://www.greytale.com)

We thank you all for helping us at RPTools!

This tile pack is designed to complement the original tiles which can be found here:
http://forums.rptools.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=20255

The tiles are now available in grid200, grid100, and grid50 sizes.
How to Download Tiles
You can get his tile pack by simply by opening Maptool and going to:
File -> Add to Resource Library, and click on the red gear. You will see his pack in the list.
Here is the contact sheet of the tiles within:

Let us all thank ProBono and the others for their hard work and donation to the RPTools community! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Maptool Bugs
Couple things worth mentioning:
1. Unfortunately there was a bug in Maptool 1.3B86 that prevents you from downloading art packs – Booo! :P
2. 1.3B87 (the latest version of Maptool) allows you to get art packs just fine, however, the license file will not appear during installation. I will supply that below. This will be fixed in Maptool 1.3B88.
3. Maptool 1.3b60 through 1.3B84 works fine when it comes to downloading and installing Art Packs. B85 works but doesn't show the license.
License Information
CREDITS: Tiles were made 100% in Dundjinni map creating progam, with Paint.Net used to crop the final tiles.
Thanks to all the artists there and on RpgMapShare for their inspiration and contributions.
Particular thanks to Bogie and Neyjour. I would also like to thank Greytale, for allowing me to use some of
his artwork at: http://www.greytale.com

FAIR USE:

Holy Frell that's a lot of tiles! This graphics push is really improving MapTool's value, especially for new users who haven't collected lots of graphic assets yet.

It's interesting that this set is built at a higher conceptual level than, say, Torstan's tiles. These are more like WotC's cardboard dungeon tiles - more prefab, maybe giving you ideas about what to build - and his give you more freedom but require more tile placement, more stacking and overlapping of smaller elements. Both have their strengths. Do we need some terminology to help name and describe these different kinds of tile sets? Dungeon 'sections' vs. 'elements' maybe?

Wow, those are sweet! I particularly like the water-based tiles; I always have a hard time getting water to look right when I work on such things and yet these look great!

Thanks to all of the contributors!

Oops, I made an error...

I noticed that some of the art objects within the tile pack were made by Greytale and I didn't give mention to him!
*Dorpond slaps own hand*

As a result, I changed the license files within the art pack and also changed the flier to include him.

Unfortunately, this doesn't help for the users who have already downloaded the art pack, but will take effect for future downloads of it -- unless of course you remove the art pack from your library and download it again, but that is unnecessary. I am sure Greytale isn't sweating over it.

So, I changed the licenses and flier to the following, and don't forget - check out his website! It rocks! :)
