Just playing around, I converted the .htm to a .pdf with PrimoPDF, and then converted the .pdf to a .jpg with Paint.Net. It works, but that's quite a few steps to create the sheets. I know this is a new feature, so I'm curious what the plan for developing this part of Maptools might be?

Couldnt you just take a screenshot of the html page and save it in any art program?

I just wanted to add that if you make html pages as an acceptable format you will have all the Hero gamers jumping for joy and probably switching to MT from ORPG (assuming the die formats and initiative get added in some day). Most of us Hero gamers use Hero Designer to make our characters. It is a Java application with the ability to export characters to pretty much any format that is "markup-able" such as HTML and RTF. I've been trying to create a PDF export, but I don't understand the structure well enough to pull it off with any real success.thelevitator wrote:Is the Character Sheet window .jpg only? I was wondering if it will ever be able to accept .htm files too. DM Genie's character sheets are in .htm format. In the meantime, what's the simplest way to convert .htm files to .jpg files?

Ahhhh thanks for the reminder Dracorat!! That program was mentioned here or on another gaming forum a while back and I couldn't remember the name of it. Looks like I've got some work ahead of me for this Sunday's session!

Was this a reply to me? If so, thanks, but I already own Adobe Acrobat. My statement above regarding PDF was I'm trying to create the PDF from scratch via its markup language. I can create a basic PDF via the codes, but when I get to 2 pages, I can't get the document tree to work right.Dracorat wrote:You might be interested in this then:

If it wasn't... disregard the above ramblings of the crazy person.
It was - I had no idea how progressed you were.
For those wanting a straight HTML to Image converter, the following installs a printer that will save pretty much anything to an image:

I recommend you change the template file for whatever program creates your HTML output and at the very end put a bunch of line breaks (BR tags) and then the word "end", so that the watermark doesn't overwrite text you are trying to read.
Here is an example using a partially completed project of mine as the HTML document:
