I'm having some fun playing with concepts for the tools icons, here's a set. If it does not imediately suggest what tool it represents then it isn't working.

Very neat. Will be interesting to see how these look shrunken down.

You could use a a gear with a silhouette of a human head for the TokenTool logo.

I would think a camera or, make it look like the center of the gear is looking at a monster from afar.

Something about the profile of the head, doesn't evoke the same idea as the other icons.

Agreed.

We have pretty much decided on a logo at this point anyway - expect an announcement soon! ;)

how about a head wearing a helmet, since most people think D&D, a medieval style pot helm or something, like the Black Knight wore in Holy Grail.

I would rather go with a monster. Monsters can be more easily recognized and aren't tied to fantasy or modern.

Kind of reminds me of the Mission Impossible poster.

My first thought was a mask or masks like they have in the theater, but that is too closely associated with theater to work well.

So I'm thinking tokens are basically game peices, what about using something like a chess peice, maybe a pawn or a knight?

OK so here's a rework of one, I wanted to see something a little more abstract, and a new one.

Pretty much, yeah, except I didn't imagine it being a profile view.

In any case, I like Mosat's chess piece idea better now.
