Right now, if a result from A calls to B, only the result from B is printed.
That would give us a way to do multi-d6 (or whatever) and see the result of all the dice. Would have to duplicate the base table for however many dice you wanted to roll but it could do it and even handle open-ended rolls.

Would that be A calling B calling A again, or A calling B calling C...?

Because A might be subtext to B.

For example, in my games there are types of Crits.

Double Damage
Double Damage with Special Effect
Triple Damage
Triple Damage with Special Effect

So, when a DD with SE is called, I'd call up another table like: DD Hit Location.

Head
Body
Arm
Leg
Etc.

Once I have the Hit location (say "Head") I'd then call the DD Head Crits where a number of different things could happen when someone is hit in the head.

And, keep in mind that there would be blunt, piercing, and slashing variants as well.

It's just more interesting to a PC if they see the path of their Crit roll (along with associated graphics) through to the conclusion than to just get the end result. It takes a number of high rolls to get the most devastating effects and it's easier to appreciate when you see what it actually took.

Another situation I just thought of... what if one of the Triple Damage Special Effects is to get two results from a Double Damage table? I've never tried this, but I bet if I call two table results in one value, it either doesn't work or only displays the second one. I'd like the results from every table result to be displayed (including the graphics.)

I see. So if I understand this correctly, there are a lot of different paths that you can take to the final result so it really isn't possible to have the end result display what you need because the end result won't be reached the same way each time. I get it. Yea, it would be nice to have each table display its results before moving to the next table.

Full Bleed, do you mean the "?" for the images bug ? If so, that has been fixed in b28

Full Bleed, I could certainly see putting in an image before doing a table transfer, let me look into it

UPDATE:

I've checked in all the updates, waiting for the OK from internal testing.

I mean this bug posted by Torstan in the b26 build thread:
Torstan wrote:Got the table bug. Here's the way to recreate it:

1. Create a new table with any name, let's say 'test' for the sake of reference
2. Close the dialogue
3. Click on the table and click on the pencil tool to edit it.
4. Rename the table, say to 'test2'
5. Close the dialogue.

You should now see two 'test2' tables. You can delete the one to the right, but not the (I guess original) one to the left. Equally, if you delete one of the tables, you will be unable to call the table from chat.
We essentially can't rename a table.

For that matter I wish the Table window would stop disappearing on me. It seems like every other time I startup MT, it's gone. The check is enabled in the Window menu but toggling it doesn't do anything. Have to do Restore Layout every time.

A duplicate button for Tables would be handy.

weird about it disappearing.

There is a duplicate button, it's the one on the far right.
