Jector, if you can send me the individual pieces, I'll figure out how to do an imagemap (never done one before!) and I'll add that to the Tools page for "testing purposes". :)
Thanks!

Can do. Do you want them sized tightly around the image or each as a square that if you overlapped all the images they'd be alligned as above?

Brigand wrote:I kinda liked 'em better when they had images in the background that showed what they did. At least the map one was nice. Could always make them roll over images, that show the map, sheets, and stuff.
Shut up, you!

Actually, that wouldn't be very hard to do. It would take a little more load time, and we were trying to keep that at a minimum. Whatever works best.

Load time in this day and age with broadband reaching even more people thanks to wireless internet? Feh. I say forget the dial-up users and let them suffer. They're used to it by now. I know I was until I got broadband speeds finally.

Hmm. I think as separate squares that will appear correctly when overlapped. That way, if I need to, I can merge them into a single image or otherwise manipulate them.

Trevor is already not scared of putting torstan's 100px tileset into the MapTool download (at ~5MB), so I can't imagine that a few hundred K for the web page would be a problem for him.

What if the area behind each tool name were transparent? How would it look to put some cyclic image behind the set of five? Would that be too busy?

Yeah, let's go with what you've got -- I'm itching to get that stuff up on the site. :) And I just might have some time to do it before the weekend is over, even with prep time before Sunday's game...

Uh-oh, it just occurred to me... Trevor is also planning on a "CommunityTool" as well. These images will need to change to include a sixth element eventually. Jector, you may want to consider that. But for now, I want to move ahead with this.

(Hmm, maybe call the new tool "LobbyTool", since that keeps the first letter unique for each tool.)

Could always break from tradition and have the chat client be called the Vestibule.

Which reminds me... I still need to make the logo for that. I'll take a stab at it tomorrow. I need to do some stuff for RPTroll as well so I'll try to kill two birds with a large large house.

We'll just have to burn that bridge when we come to it. :)

Give me a couple ticks and I'll get the images up.

Very nice. I'll take a look at doing the image maps later today. Thanks!

I have created a couple potential logos for the Community Tool. Let me know which one folks like.

Ok, I want to make a couple variations on #2 and see which of those you like. Give me a few minutes and I will post those up.

First one doesn't look like people unless you know it's supposed to be people. Looks like an old reel hard drive.

Second one is too... I dunno, static.

Third is good but I like the previous one you did with slightly different sizes staggered.
