*holds up two fingers* Pick number three, number three m'lord!

Yeah, I like the 2nd one from the 2PM post (the original post). I liked the staggered sizes for some reason. Perhaps because the symmetry makes me want to somehow imply symmetry in the application itself? I don't know...Jector wrote:Third is good but I like the previous one you did with slightly different sizes staggered.

Re: Website and host migration
I still believe it should be called the Vestibule. CommunityTool is just too generic and sanitary, neutral. I know MapTool and all the other tools can be used for more than just fantasy, but most people think of fantasy when they hear rpg. That's just the way the term is branded and recognized.
Re: Website and host migration
Yeah, but we don't want people running off to the dictionary to figure out just what the hell a "vestibule tool" might do.

People to need to have their vocabulary broadened occasionally. ^_^;

Az, can you list all the sizes you needed for the images. I can't seem to find that post.Azhrei wrote:Yeah, I like the 2nd one from the 2PM post (the original post). Re: Website and host migration
Here are the ones we currently have, all of them are square:
16, 24, 32, 48, 64, 128, 242, 403.
I don't know where those last two came from (242? 403? weird), but that's what we've got.
Also, the DiceTool, TokenTool, and InitTool logos need the sizes less than 242, if you have the original image sources for those?

Thanks. I'll try to get those together over the next week.
I do have all the originals for the other tools so I'll do those as well.

Re: Website and host migration
I think the one that has squares merging into hexes is nice, it shows that MapTool can handle both... granted it sort of implies it can handle both on the same map, but that's okay.
Re: Website and host migration
I wonder if we could get an image that is a combination of both... perhaps a square-gridded fantasy scene that merges into a hex-gridded modern/future scene. It might make it more obvious that the two are not meant to be used in the same campaign, but that MapTool can do both.
Or what might be cool is if we could have a variety of images like that and each time you browse to MapTool it'll show a different image. Or would that be too disorienting? I think if the words are in the right place on all images it would be cool.

Adventure is not outside; it is within.
