Thanks for the update! I'll try it out and see how it works out. One little thing I noticed right away...whenever I install the latest version, I open the menu item of "Help/About" and verify that the installation is the latest version. When I did this with this latest update, the window that opened is empty (other than the <OK> button).

Sure enough. the build script didn't copy the credits file over.
Bummer.
If that's the only snag on this build I'll be happy
Since it doesn't affect game play, I'm going to wait until the next build to fix (instead of an emergency patch).
Thanks for the catch. What else can you guys find ?

What?!?! Are you crazy?! This deserves an IMMEDIATE emergency patch! Nah, hahaha I'm just kiddin'. But I swear, I can hardly keep up with your releases! That's a good thing I'm sure, keep it up!trevor wrote:Sure enough. the build script didn't copy the credits file over.

Generates an exception on start:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Input stream cannot be null
at net.rptools.lib.FileUtil.getBytes(FileUtil.java:132)
at net.rptools.lib.FileUtil.loadResource(FileUtil.java:58)
at net.rptools.maptool.client.ui.MapToolFrame.<init>(MapToolFrame.java:217)
at net.rptools.maptool.client.MapTool.initialize(MapTool.java:138)
at net.rptools.maptool.client.MapTool.main(MapTool.java:510)
Exception in thread "Thread-11" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
By bumping up the memory to 512MB I was able get through the scan of that map.
Maybe this caching thing should be optional. I don't see it doing anything for those using MT in face-to-face tabletop games.

I have thousands of maps and graphics in my main Gaming resources directory. I added that directory and after scanning a couple directories the scanning process died when it hit one of the big maps.* Remember local images when adding image explorer roots (don't have to request from server)

The stack trace is the reason for the missing credits: it can't find the file.
That's interesting about the large image issue. What is the size of the image ? The recognizer should only be dealing in bytes, not image data so I would not have expected a memory issue. I might also have a bug that is holding onto information too long. I'll take a look.
Thanks for the update

It's a big 'un. 6400x8000 A 150MB raw bitmap file.Trevor wrote:That's interesting about the large image issue. What is the size of the image?
Forunately the scanning speed isn't two bad. Once I bumped the memory up enough that it didn't freeze up, it scanned 12000+ files (8GB) in less than a minute on my current system.
During the scan the max memory got pushed to 347MB which is probably why it died when the max was set to 256MB.
First test of the image add worked perfectly. It ripped through about 200 tokens and 20 maps in less than two seconds. Fabulous!
Full combat test tonight at 8pm Eastern, giant robots! Whee!

You don't need to remove and re-add, as far as I know. If you add a file to an existing folder just click on a different folder and then come back to the original one, the file should be there.trevor wrote:Right now, yes. Do I have to remove and re-add it too?
I released this version a bit earlier than I normaly would so that it could start being tested.
