MapTool 1.1 Development Release Build 29

Post by trevor »

Here it is, 1.1b29. As always, give it a try, beat on the new features, and let me know how it goes !

Build 29
* Introduce token halos
* Linked client view (Enforce View Continuous) now anchors to the center of the screen instead of the top left
* Add "close" button to adjust grid dialog
* Add popup menu to token properties Notes and GMNotes text areas: Send to Chat, Send as Emit
* Set token type to TOP DOWN when changing from Token to Background/Stamp
* SHIFT during mouse wheel will rotate the facing of any selected tokens at grid cell facing
* SHIFT CTRL during mouse wheel will rotate the facing of any selected tokens at 5 degree increments
* Change Adjust Grid keystroke to CTRL-SHIFT-G
* Clarify the language for Enforce View (Once) and (Continous) as "Switch players to this map" and "Player view follows GM view"
* Fix "Center Players on Current View" to work properly
* Add additional repaint events when changing zones to avoid the "Loading" is stuck bug

The mouse rotate of tokens works pretty good. The "diagonals" are off on the hex rotate. Should be 30,90,150,210,270,330 degrees.

No hex shaped Halos? :(

I think the language change on Enforce View will be much clearer for users.

Great set of usability enhancements!

This was the one reason that I haven't done them until now, I was sure how to do large shaped hex tokens. I decided to just go ahead and put in halos, and then let you guys help me figure out the more tricky parts.

did you mention that you added visual cue to make it more obvious what is visible to players. I like the high dimmed labels and the highlights in the token tree. or has that been in there and i didn't notice.

I like the halos except orange and yellow look nearly the same. I can't really tell them apart.

for hex you can get facing close with shift-mousewheel and then micro adjust with shift-control-mousewheel to get it exact.

Heh heh ! Apparently I didn't make "registered" a requirement for this forum.

Actually, the colored titles were added in 1.1b28, but glad you like them.

I would be happy to only have hex-shaped halos on Medium sized or smaller until these issues can be resolved.

Until MapTool has the ability to handle figures that occupy an arbitrary number of hex cells putting halos on larger figures will be tough.
