I suppose it might have a "batch mode" that would make it useful, but paying for something that's pretty easy to do with GIMP or ImageMagick or most any image editing tool seems too much for me.
And given how PNGs are compressed, I'm not sure there's much to gain here without losing image quality (for example, by reducing the color map size).

Anyway, I find that stripping out the extra garbage that many programs throw inside the PNG has far better results than trying for "optimal" compression. Prior to Azhrei hooking me up with a sweet perl script ( http://forums.rptools.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9686 ) I used PngOptimizer for PNGs, and the venerable JPG Cleaner 95 for JPGs. The former being GPL, and the latter being freeware.
