Documentation Suggestions

Post by mythusmage »

(But first, I got over myself. My Generalized Anxiety Disorder means I get frustrated easily. Updating to Java for OS 10.4 release 4 helped loads.)

Documentation in .pdf would be a great help. Web pages are all well and good, but PDF is easier to download to disk and save.

Some guidelines for using the JS function file in Dice Tool would be a help. Include examples. If you could find some way of including a folder to go along with the app, lib, and manual that would be great.

In general, expand on how to use the tools, what they can be used for, and how to adapt them to non-standard situations. Such as using the Dice Tool for determining success/failure and degree there of if that matters.

Finally, there's one thing that's been bugging me. The bottom two rows of boxes, the ones with the "var" in the top row. What are they for?

Official welcome, mythusmage. :)

There's a couple threads on documentation. We all agree that it's one of the weakest parts of MT. We have two basic issues: getting people to work on it and keeping up with Trevors inhuman programming and release speed. Seriously, the man's frightening. :D

Hang on while I track those threads down.

Hmmm... thought there was a thread about documentation and who was handling what. Can't find the bugger.

Ah. Found it.
