Pretty cool video!

I know you're not in the business of building videos for MapTool, but if you decide to do something like this again, how about using some kind of screencasting software to grab what the GM is doing at the same time? It would be so slick to have your video on the right and the laptop screen image on the left with everything that the GM is doing! As you dragged the token on the map, the viewer would see it move on the GM's screen!

Very good, Tyren! Thanks for posting!

I keep checking to see where I can buy your setup...

Seriously, I bet if you had a dozen ready for GenCon you would sell them.

Wow ! Wicked awesome !

Man, if I wasn't already converted to MT, I would totally have been sold on that. Watching the interaction with the vbl was so cool !

Do you mind if I post a link to that on the website ?

I thought that was MapTools, only with some additional hardware!?

I think that's what he means - if he wasn't a MapTool user, that video would encourage him to become one.

And seconded. It's got our group thinking about map projection again :-)

I see... Thanks Doctor.

Yeah, I have never considered a Projector (mostly because I'm here for the "connecting to friends over long distance" functionality).. but it is tempting, if I find a local group in the new place I'm moving to...

I've rewritten the Tutorials landing page so we can start to aggregate all these great items

Well we have had 5 sessions on the digital game table. During the last session, I moved the camera to point down at the table. This gave our live broadcast a much better view of the table. We had a number of people tune in for various lengths of time, but 3 of our viewers actually stuck around for most (or all) of the show.

I attribute this to the fact that they had a better view, but I also had my laptop at the table with me to respond directly to the viewers input. I could read their chat, chat back, receive tweets and also send out reminders that we were broadcasting.

I'm trying to find other ways to make this more interesting for the viewers. Some of the ideas I have are:
* Having 2 feeds that I can toggle between:
- One with the desktop of the table so they can see the table's image clearly
- The other would be my camera view of us around the table for RP scenes.
* Having a period of time for Q/A (during breaks?)
* Giving shout outs
* Maybe having a fully "remote" player contest? Where we bring the player in with a Skype call

Does anyone think any of these would be interesting at all? Or am I just being completely silly?

How about just posting the link to the live broadcast? I didn't even know you were doing that.

Heh. Yeah, I usually advertise on my facebook and twitter

As soon as I know the time/date of the next live game, I'll post here too.

I'll definitely try to sit in for a bit on one, maybe that'll spark some ideas
