Ideas? As in game ideas, or ideas for MapTools?

If it's the latter, we've come up with a few. We need a FAST way to apply status effects. Assignable hotkeys, or something.

Make an "Assign State" macro and assign it a hotkey. This is entirely doable.

Woot, I got the macro written. Strange scripting langauge if you ask me. *shudder*

Anyways, we are going to be playing again on Friday (5/15/2009 @ 7pm PST) and we'll be broadcasting live as usual. I'll be sure to post the URL around 6:30 or so.

Shoot I posted the URL in another thread. Anyways, we had a good turnout for viewers and were asked to create a wiki to track the characters/players/plots: http://livednd.wikidot.com/

Tyren,

I was just wondering if there have been any developments with your Digital Game Table since you last updated this thread? I've built my own table, and am now working on tackling some of the same issues that you seem to have run into with using MapTools on the game table (i.e., a smooth way to apply and track conditions). I have some ideas on how I can adapt MapTools to better accomodate Multi-Touch Table setups, but I was wondering if you had made any progress in this area?

Been a long time since I posted here. We play every other week on the table now. Tomorrow (4/11/2010 @ 1pm PST) is our next game. We broadcast it live and you can tune in at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/live-dnd.

You can see how we set it up. I did write a status tracking macro. We have stopped using the Wiimote because it was error prone. Some of the player struggled with the IR pens. Anyways. I just have the players use figs, and I quickly move their tokens in Maptool.

As for advancements. I did start working on a "touchless" system that uses a camera to track their tokens automatically. I was able to get it working (mostly). But the tracking system is snarky, and I haven't been able to work out all the kinks. So that system is on hold. Anyways, if you need to get a hold of me faster, just use PM or mail me directly at: tyren [at] syntheticstream [dot] com.
