Just downloaded Mapnakotic - its tantalizingly close to what I would like. The biggest thing missing is the ability to use macros from my frameworks - that is pretty much the core functionality of maptools for me and my group. It would be nice to see this app see some love - me and my group use maptool at least once a month (usually more like 2x a month) for around 8 hrs, and I would love to get out from behind my monitor.

Just discovered this and happy to have found it. All I wanted was a client so the players could move their tokens as we displayed the map on the TV. So now they can connect to the server and do so with an ipad/ipone.

All I wish is that is was updated for current rev of Maptools (well 1.87b would be nice), otherwise loved it.

I've got it installed on my iPad but don't generally use it. I find that it it much too limited and as previously pointed out, I tend to use all of the features of MT in both the client and server instances so this app is too limited.

I could definitely see it as usable for a group using a shared screen (large tv or projector) when combined with an Apple TV and AirPlay (basically the iPad's display is mirrored to the tv or projector).

Does this allow actually making maps? If I can JUST use maptools to make maps I may get me an IPad :D

It's an implementation of 1.3.b86.

I don't think you can make maps with it. I'm getting on a plane tomorrow so I'll re-download it (I have deleted it) and play with it a bit and let you know about it's capabilities. I do remember that the first thing it does when you start it is ask which MapTool server to connect to and won't let you do anything else until you answer that.
