RPG's FAQ mentions rptools as part of the list of software available for gamers. http://www.reddit.com/r/rpg/ there's also a few posts where people mention that they use Maptool, or suggest it.

Cool, thanks for the link.

I used to read slashdot (about 5-6 years ago when I didn't have a life ;)) but I remember the time sink it was. I can't imagine going to reddit, digg, or siilar sites nowadays. There's no time for the things I really want to do, much less spare time to spend on those sites!
