Ah crap, and here I am in Iraq. Darn it.

I read your post on that forum and it sounds like your friends there should definitely take a stab at MapTool, I have used it with Savage Worlds and it works very well. I believe RPTroll is an avid SW gamer on here and has written numbers tools (plu-gins?) for MT so Savage Worlds can be very easily played.

Don't they have megacomputers and broadband as well as several hours of your day free for you to join us?

HA! I wish. We have to pay for internet here ourselves, it is usually rather slow, expensive (you can easily pay $100+ for something you pay about $30 for in the states) and some of us have schedules that literally you cannot plan more than a day or two ahead of time with any sense of accuracy.

Nice write up, looks like MT and Skype worked very well for you guys, and rest assured once you are all comfortable with online gaming, the RPing will come out. I have seen a huge increase in the RPing due to visualization by the players because they do not see "bob" sitting there and instead see Gerfutharken the dwarf.
