Hi I am new here and wondering if someone with some tech savvy could help me out? I downloaded the character tools application and cannot get it to run. When I run the character tools it shows up as a small black windowed screen on my desktop then diappears. I changed my compatibility to win 7, and updated java (1.6.0_30-b12) but still it will not run. Any ideas?

Are you running it directly from the site? Sometimes the Java Web Start stuff does not download correctly and I've not found a way to fix it. If that is the case, try downloading the zip file and then running it from the batch file.
