Post subject: Problem starting it on Linux

Hi there!

First of all, can't thank you enough for your software. It is great and can really help my group (we live a little away from each other), so...

Now, to the problem... I can't really start the CharTool (or the other tools aside from MapTools) it gives me this error:
Code:
Exception in thread "Main Thread" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: net/rptools/chartool/CharTool : unsupported classversion 50.0
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method)
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:620)
        at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:124)
        at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:260)
        at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$100(URLClassLoader.java:56)
        at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:195)
        at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:188)
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:306)
        at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:268)
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:251)

Any idea? Wrong Java Version? What can it be?

Thanks for everything!

Woot! A fellow Linux user... This will definitely work on Linux. That is what I use...

Try this LINK and see if it can get you started. Let us know either way...

Hi there! I should've posted here, but I got it working... just put the JRE 1.6 instead of the 1.5 :)

Thanks for the help!
