Alt dice tally feature

Post by humupower »

Maybe this is already in, and I just don't know about it.

But it would be nice to be able to roll 8d6 and have it just tally the numbers of 6s or 5s and 6s. Not useful for DnD so much, but I know a lot of games use this kind of system for determining successes and failures.

If it's already there, could someone help me with the syntax?

BTW, my friends and I love this program, it lets us keep gaming even though life has taken us far and wide since highschool and college :)

This is supported, take a look here for different dice functions.

Syntax, from that page, is: XdYsS

So, 8d6s5 would do what you wanted in your example.

I cover examples of some of the possibilities for the dice roller function in my dice roller tutorial. The link is in my signature.
