Oh, sorry for the confusion. I was referring to my previous post where I mentioned broadbandreports.com and the Tweak test. That one won't use KPerf it will generate the report via the web, but it is a different report.

You'll need to run it once connected directly to the modem and then run it again connected to the router.

The reports should give you a good idea of what is going on. If not, ask and I'll translate for you.

Sorry, got a bit distracted this weekend. The reports are no longer available so I can't look them over, but based on the summary info, I don't see any problems at all... Most curious.

When you ran the second test was the desktop computer still connected to the router?

Yes, the desktop was connected to the router at that time.

And the laptop was plugged in... Very odd. Based on those results there is no problem with packet passing through the router...

When you plug in the laptop to the router do you turn off your wireless? If not, try doing that and then testing MT between the desktop and laptop. If you do turn off the wireless, we have more head scratching ahead.

I always turn off the wireless when plugging in the laptop.

Head scratching is about all I'm left with. I've done similar speed tests in the past and found that wireless through the router and wired through the modem were about the same. I don't think we're going to find a good answer here other than my router dislikes maptool.

Yup. If you know anyone that would be willing to let you borrow their router for a little bit, you could try swapping out routers and see if the problem goes away for your particular network configuration. Other than that, I don't have much more that I could suggest.
