Hex and Iso Maps

Post by RPTroll »

I suppose I'm the last troll in the world who doesn't know what an iso grid is so I looked around on the net to find out. The developers probably have this nailed alreay but here's an interesting article for the rest of us discussing how do code for hex and iso maps.

This one does a bit better job with coordinate system in iso

As I was looking around I found some posts by Emryys on other boards. Man, that guy is all over the net. :-)

Thanks for the links. I've actually written an iso engine before, and a hex engine is just an iso engine with a square in the middle.

We'll take a look at adding this at some point :)

Yes, this is big. I am just watching this thing get better and better every day, not waiting for anything in particular. :D

Hex maps, facing and custom values on tokens are the three things at the top of my wish list.
