When other players try to connect to me, they receive the timed out error message. Here are my settings:
1. Windows XP
2. jre1.6.0_07
3. IP Address: 192.168.1.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DHCP Server: 192.168.1.1
DNS Server: 192.168.1.1
4. 1.3.b77, zip
5.Local Address: 192.168.1.2
6. I've only gotten as far as step one; canyouseeme.org couldn't see me at all.
UdnP is turned off, port forwarding is set up.

That's a pretty old version of java. Try removing it and installing 6_31, the latest version.

I am having this same problem. I have lastest java update but I am timing out trying to connect to a buddy, and he gets same when trying to connect to me. I am so cunfused.,
