Post subject: Player can't pan map
PostPosted: Sun Apr 22, 2012 11:05 pm
I started using MapTool this weekend for my weekly session. I created a map, setup a client on another computer connected to my TV (so everyone can see it) and away we went. At first everything was fine, however after about 10 minutes of play the client (player) was unable to pan the map around using the right mouse button. I saved the campaign, closed MapTool on both machines, started it up again and the same thing happened. Has anyone seen this before or know what causes this? I'm using the 1.3.b87 build.

I doubt it but I'll give this a try next time we play.

No, this wasn't the issue. The player could still move tokens around it's just panning the map that wasn't possible.

Ah wrong combo i meant the force current view option in the menu. If you check that players can't pan. Don't know if there's a key combo for but you could check. You could also try turning it on and off when it happens again.

Do you mean "Center players on current view", in the Tool menu? If so, I've tried toggling that option as well as "Center players on current view (Continuous)".

I had one user who had that issue, but only one user.

I know this because I run two copies in my home, one on my laptop as a DM, one hooked up to my TV for the players who come to the game in person. The "TV" runs as a player, and I was able to pan, but the person via skype (many many many miles away) wasnt.

We run maptools every session, and this is the first time this has ever happened.
