Could not load campaign - java.net.connectexception: connect

This is the error my friend gets when he tries to join my game. I am using Windows 7 x64 to start the server and my friend also uses Windows 7.
It basically means "Could not load campaign" in german.
I am using this campaign framework: http://forums.rptools.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=25740
My friend also tried to import the campaign on his client before joining, same error.
Hope you can help me :) I have never used these tools before therefore I don't know much about it.

most likely its the firewall, so breaking those down initially is a first go.

A vital piece of information you did not mention: lan or wan? (local or through the internet).

What about your IP address? Are you connecting via IPv4 or IPv6?
