Hi,
I created a campaign for our Pathfinder RPG group and until the last meeting my maptool was working fine.
But since the last changes to the maps or tokens, the player's tokens are unable to see the GM tokens.
We use one computer for all players and I use another PC as the GM.
The tokens have the right owner and enabled sight at the config tab
Only if I check "visible to players" my GM tokens are visible to the players tokens. But then they can see the tokens all the time.
Even if there is a VBL of FOW enabled.
I tried serveral setting of my server, but nothing changed anything. Also I dont know if I changed any "worng" setting.
Is there any option, that can cause this problem?
I also tried to create a new campaign, but no changes.
OS: Windows 8.1
Maptool: 1.4.0 or 1.3b91
Java: 8 Update 60
Do you have any hint for me to solve this?

There are several variables to consider.
The green token should be a PC token, have the "has sight" checkbox checked, use a vision that will see that far.
The other token should be an NPC token and should have the visible to players checked and the visible to owners only unchecked.
The map vision should be set to day or night with the option of turning on FOW. Having FOW on helps to determine your actual vision distance. Also, under map, edit map you should have the map set to something reasonable based on your scale. If you chose 5 foot squares, then a distance of 240 covers most circumstances.
Light source is only needed if vision is set to night.
Layer. If the other token is on the hidden layer the gm can see it but players can not.

I checked both settings "visible to players" and "Visible to owners only"
My problem is solved and so we can use the maptool for your next meeting.
