I can't find the posts right now... but what was the issue we saw with people having apostrophe's in their user name? Has that been resolved?

Wait the issue could be that I have an Apostrophe in my name.

I'm grasping at straws... there was an obscure issue somewhat recently that was found to happen to people with an apostrophe in their user name.

I could be off base completely as I can't find the posts anymore and am not sure what the issue was... but seeing the apostrophe in your name made me think of it. You could try creating a user account with another name and install maptool there to see if it happens.

Well it was not the problem. I have invested a ton of work into maptool and I don't want to give up on it. But I really need to fix this problem.

Well, this isn't exactly your problem but you could try it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWu3dyXlbAM

Only other suggestion is to start everything over again:

Uninstall all Java versions on your computer.
Delete your Maptool data folder (probably the .maptool directory in your C:\User\UserName folder).
Reinstall Java 64.
Reinstall Maptool.

Tried the first thing it did not work.

Will try deleting maptools. And see if that fixes it. (Just need to make sure my saves and frame works are separated from that.) Will post if this works.

That's good... I'm guessing that when you tried out the new user account that you did not reinstall Java for that account... so I'm going to surmise that you had a busted Java install.

Just uninstalled Java and it again. But this time it did not make a difference. I can't figure this out.

have you tried removing the cache. That is delete the entire .maptool dir under
c:\users\yourName\.maptool
and then run mt again?

Yes. I did that when i removed all the maptools stuff.

My New computer is Windows 10 is that maybe the problem. Or do other people just not have this problem.
