How do I set memory and stack sizes in new versions of MT?
The title says it all. I am getting java overflow errors. I am guessing maybe it's because of the memory settings. How do I change them? Otherwise, any ideas? I'm on Windows 10 with 1.4.0.5 and plenty of memory etc. on my machine. Thanks!

You should be using the launcher and if you set it so the prompt no longer shows up then you can delete the mt.cfg file in your folder where the launcher exists then you can re-enter your memory settings. I recommend 2048 max mem and stack of 3 leaving min mem alone. If MT doesn't load with those settings then it's likely you installed the 32bit version of java and you need to install the 64bit version. It's a manual install.

Thanks for responding. I deleted the mt.cfg file but nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

Are you using the launcher? Or double-clicking on the MapTool .jar file directly?

Okay, so when I use the launcher it allows me to put in the memory and stack sizes but when I hit "launch maptool" nothing happens.

This is resolved. I had the 32-bit java version installed on my 64=bit machine. Installed the correct version and the launcher now works.
