Graphics Problem?

Been having this problem lately. Re-installed 1.4 and Java (latest for both). Any thoughts? I seem to remember having this problem before but years ago. Can't remember the solution though.
The problem seems to happen after creating a new map. I drag my mouse around and the result is this. Settings are 2048/64/4 and working with Windows 10 os x64.

I think ultimately removing and reinstalling fixed it. I usually restart computer after uninstalling all versions of java. Then I install just the 64bit from the manual download.

Thanks AM! Installed the 64 bit offline and the restart was a crucial step I believe. It seems to be working now.
