Post your Gripes

Come on, you know you have 'em ! Let us know the things that really bother you about MapTool.

For example, it isn't obvious which tool you are on, and that can get annoying.

What things do you bump into that make you go "ick" ?

That would have been chat as it was implemented originally. :-)

Now its sooooo coooool. (once the inline dice rolling is done) 8)

So now I just have one thing that bugs me. When I'm on my laptop I don't have a mouse wheel so I can't adjust the map size (or token size in token tool). I end up bringing up another tool to scale the image which requires several iterations.

A dialog box to adjust the image size in both tools would be nice. Alternately, allow ctl-mouse move up/down to do the same thing.

There may be another way to simulate the mouse wheel. If anyone knows of one, let me know.

Actually, there's a View->Zoom menu item that zooms the map. Perhaps it would be useful to put a slider up in the toolbar ?

This is for the zoom when you are adjusting the grid up and down to try scale the map to the 5' grid.

Ok, I think I'm confused, which zoom are you talking about ? The View->Zoom has to do with the zoom level of the map.

Are you talking about zooming for the adjust grid function ?

Sorry, had a brain fart. The scaling I'm talking about in map tool is the grid scaling you can do with the mouse wheel.

Ahh, gotcha. That's actually going to be replaced with the new Adjust Grid dialog, which doesn't depend on the mouse wheel.

The temptation to say "All of the above" is incredible. However, it is not the truth. I don't know what the issues are exactly, but I cant be read from the internet, even with all of the security I know of down. I will give you the exact message later, when I have it.

You might contact Mr Ice directly, he's really good at figuring out and helping to fix that kind of issue

Since you don't want to mess with the stability prior to 1.0 release, do trackers that meet this criteria... which you probably are ;)

Just give us info teasers to soothe the shakes :)

Once 1.0 is released, I'll begin a propaganda campaign for my favourite trackers ;)
