Hadn't really done much with stamps/backgrounds in the past and just started playing with them.
Holy crap they are cool.
Anyway, problem here in hexland. I was messing around with Vry's tiles (very nice, btw), and building some dungeon corridors.
I wanted to take and make an up/down (north/south) hallway using one of his tiles. When I went to rotate it...
Only 6 directions of facing. Uh-Oh. This means no up/down hallway.
So, I try the intuitive option - hold down CTRL and sure enough, free rotate. However, now I have to sweat over being able to make it perfectly 90 degrees.
Any suggestions? Perhaps CTRL+SHIFT and rotate will stick to 15 degree increments or something.

I agree - backgrounds would almost always be cardinal directions, but stamps might be both. Hard to say one way or another.
If you did 15 degree increments as well as kept the current free rotate that would do it. Those increments would hit the cardinal as well as the hex face points.
