I've been working on this for a time now, and may as well put it up for comments. There are still some issues present but I am slowly getting rid of them as we test further.
My main principle was to present results to players and then allow them to implement the effect. So I display results, the players interpret them and then decide what happens. This keeps the players involved, hopefully.
