Ah

Yeah, I tried that and got confused because the 'on the road' map has kobold minions and they weren't showing their portraits with that setting but it seems to be just those tokens so I'm not sure which path I'll take just yet.

Happy New Years folks!

Is this file still available? The link appears dead...

Maptool is awesome and the work you all have done is great!

I'll second that - I can't download it and would love to have it, as I'm hoping to DM KotS this weekend.

I put the file on one of these filesharing sites.
http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=6gkyq1b3mhd

Qualifiers:

1) I didn't check to see if I had modified it all but I'm pretty sure I didn't and if I did, it would be to add a couple monsters for my 6 player party. Just delete the extras.

2) I've never used this file sharing site before so I can't speak for its service or limitations.

Good luck!

I tried this with Firefox and couldn't seem to download it. Tried with IE, had to allow popups, and immediately after downloading the file (didn't try to open it yet), I was infected with at least one virus. Maybe coincidence, maybe not, but it might be a good idea to move the file elsewhere, and maybe to not download this file on a Windows machine.

Thanks for posting it, though!

Doh!

I'm on a Mac and it worked fine in Firefox for me. I'll try again on another site (this time one recommended from lifehacker.com).

Please let me know if there's a virus once again. I'll stop sharing it (with non-mac users :) ).

I got that one easily and quickly, it's byte-identical with the first version I downloaded, and it looks fabulous! Thanks!

I downloaded the campaign file, but get the message "could not load campaign: com.caucho.hessioan.io.HessianProtocolException: unknown code:P." I read in an earlier post that this may be due to the version of MapTool I'm using. I'm running release version 1.2.b32 - is there another version I should be running, and if so, how do I download it?

Thanks

On the maptool home page, download the development version (currently: 1.3b49). That should get you going.

I don't think anyone is using the Release Candidate. I think there needs to be a revision of how releases are handled/numbered but that's another topic for another day with no ideal solution in any case.

I'm gonna feel like a dunce posting this, but...

Is it really only the first encounter?

The full campaign is in there. You just have to swap between the maps for each area. Make sure you make them visible to players as you proceed.

Its the camouflaged button with the globe on it on the top right hand corner, don't worry it took me (and several others) a while to find it too.
