Making tokens/pogs with no border

Post by Ceodryn »

I have searched this topic on this board, and found a few threads, but all images are broken links.

I am trying to make 1 inch rounds and 2 inch rounds pogs for roleplaying at a table. I'd like no border, or simply a shadow. Could someone explain how to do it, provide the image (overlay?) to use, and what should the dimension (pixels) I should select.

Thank you

All you need to do is load up an existing overlay in Gimp/Photoshop and delete the image part and replace it with magenta (you should see a pick square background, just select the exact same color). Or start with a square of that color and select a circle in the middle to delete (or what ever shape you want). Add it via "Manage Overlays" in TokenTool.

Mind sharing the transparent token overlay you use Jamz?

Here's an empty no-border overlay you can use with token tool.

Could you do this for the square token as well?

Um, wouldn't that just be no overlay at all? Or am I missing something?

um, I guess token tool needs SOME overlay, so 1 pixel bordered square?

I don't have one but you can create one, just load up paint/gimp/etc and delete everything in the middle, leaving 1 pixel or so on the outside...

An empty image way work as well...haven't tested that...

If one really wants no border at all, I'm mystified as to what the point of TokenTool is in the first place, since you can just drop the .png onto the map directly. And there are easier ways to do file format conversions and resizing.
