Any Chance we could Upload Images?
I love Dundjinni's boards because we have the ability to share user created art.
Can we do the same here? I was just going to upload some frames I made and I found that I don't have the funtionality.
I really don't want to post my stuff on a website first and point to the image if I can avoid it.
Just curious.

Again, I am new to all this
How would I do that? I want to actually post the images in the thread instead of having a link. Is that possible?
I tried it here: http://forums.rptools.net/viewtopic.php?p=2120#2120
It didn't seem to work.
Help a poor friend, will you?

Testing
Bummer, apparently phpbb2 only allows you have urls that look like images, instead of checking the mime type, or something.
Anyone have an idea how to get around that ? I've tried a couple different things and none have worked.

Dreaming of a 1.3 release
I guess you gotta do it like this. I can't get a url with an image extension on it.

Images from our gallery
Ok, I cheated but got it to work.

Precisely... phpbb's IMG tag parser doesn't like some characters in the url, and it has to end with an image file extension.trevor wrote:Looks like you just go to tinyurl.com and paste the actual url into the textfield, then put the resulting value into the img tag.
Neat.

Mr. Ice,
Check out what I posted here. It may help?

Also, I couldn't get TinyURL to work. What is the secret with the file.jpg?

Yeah, I read that earlier. Several problems with it that make me very hesitant to put it up here. Instead I may go the route of tweaking the phpbb myself if it comes to that.dorpond wrote: Check out what I posted here. It may help?

take the url directly from gallery and paste it into the form at http://tinyurl.com/dorpond wrote: Also, I couldn't get TinyURL to work. What is the secret with the file.jpg?
click 'Make TinyURL!'
Copy the resulting tinyurl into your post, and tack on a /file.jpg or /a.gif. Doesn't seem to matter if you get the type correct, as long as it's recognized by phpbb as an image file name. Surround it with the IMG tags. You're done!
Let me test it:
Nope, can't do it.. Maybe I am using the wrong URL at TinyURL?
This is the one I tried: http://gallery.rptools.net/main.php?g2_itemId=2454
*shrug*
