Bug - version 1.0M5.b24

Post by dorpond »

Odd imaging issue going on now. I have seem this when I either:
1. Change the width and height on the frame.
2. Slide the Edge Correction (awe common - where is the fudge? :) )

Too aggressive fudging. could you send me the overlay and I'll see about making the algorithm a little smarter ?

Actually, it happens when the fudge is all the way down.

Files on their way!

I think the preview window is a bit small to actually see the results of corrections. Anyway to make that sizeable?

hmm, I can't think of why it couldn't. the trick is to keep it roughly square, and as it get's bigger it will push the control panel down.

The app window opens fairly small, for thos of us who have a lot of screen real estate I think it might be useful. You could constrain it to a specific aspect ratio, or make it separate from the control aea. Just a thought.

Here's a new one I did with the new version. Didn't use any fudging at all, but this overlay didn't have that much of a problem. The edges aren't crisp, but that's the overlay and not the tool.

Perdy, looks like it did a pretty decent job figuring out the edge.

Remember this is the overlay I've already used which didn't have a problem (There are still a few magenta pixels but you really have to look hard to see them, not something I'm worried about).

Very nice Token, Mr. Rat!

Keep um coming!

As far as edging, yeah, I still get a little magenta even after a full fudge but I don't think it will be visible in-game.

Actually, it is the main window that bothers me the most. It looks so horrible with that magenta ring around it. And like you said, the final result screen is too small to see if it got all the Magenta out for the final result.

Almost seems like it should be opposite - small window for the work, big window for the end result. It is the end result we want to check for flaws.

*shrug*

Maybe instead of resizing the output area (or in addition to), the two should be swappable with a button and hotkey.

Many 3d modelling programs have this kind of functionality and it can be very helpful at times while not taking up any extra room.

Compose vs preview ?

As a side note, one of the motivations for the preview panel is as a drag source: Just drag from the preview and you'll pick up the composed token.

It's kinda nice to have that there always available.
