Stench: aura square GM 30.5#666600
Unholy Aura: aura square GM 30.5#888888

You can add these to your Campaign Properties if you are using MapTools B69(IIRC) or greater. They work great as only the GM can see them and use them.

Heh.. you might want to think about the use of the new OWNER tag which will be in b71(and perhaps contact the author of this list to see if he wishes to update any of these). Basically, you can use either GM or OWNER(with GM being the trump/override if you put both). You already know what the first does, the OWNER tag checks the light in question and the token who it is on and if the player owns said token, the light is rendered, if the player is not an owner of said token, that light is not rendered.

EDIT:

The GM aura's are available from b63+ if I recall correctly.
I save all my Campaign Files to DropBox. Not only can I access a campaign file from pretty much any OS that will run Maptool(Win,OSX, linux), but each file is versioned, so if something goes crazy wild, I can always roll back to a previous version of the same file.

Get your Dropbox 2GB via my referral link, and as a bonus, I get an extra 250 MB of space. Even if you don't don't use my link, I still enthusiastically recommend Dropbox..

I knew about the Owner Auras as well, but those I think, will be harder to acquire as i would have to go into each spell and special ability/quality and grab the info. It can be done and is on my list of things to do, but not very high up. Thanks for the version GM auras started on.

b63 was the last build Trevor put out and I'm the one that applied the GM-only patch, so it would be b66 at the earliest (b64 and b65 were too unstable to be considered).

Thanks for that list of auras, neo! Looks pretty cool...

Nice work. Time permitting I might see if I can cobble a player base list (time permitting being the optimal phrase).
I no longer believe that MapTools is usuable or intended just for programmers. MapTools is for everyone.

Should these all be Square? I thought Square was for the 4E squares? :-)

I use square so I know what grid point I need to make checks. I can easily swap them to circles if you want.

Thanks Neofax!

I updated the distances to include the extra 2.5 feet so that full grid cells are covered and added a few spell-related auras. I'm currently working on a patch that will sort these before adding them to the right-click menu (and perhaps sort them before putting them into the campaign properties panel). This will let the GM add a number or letter in front of each entry to force them to appear in a particular order. (No grouping or subgroups though.)

Code: Select all

Aura Of Menace : aura circle GM 22.5#000055
Babble : aura circle GM 62.5#ffccff
Blinding Beauty : aura circle GM 32.5#ff6600
Cold 5 : aura circle GM 7.5#3333ff
Cold 10 : aura circle GM 12.5#3333ff
Darkness (Spell) : aura circle 22.5#220000
Despair : aura circle GM 32.5#666666
Electricity 5 : aura circle GM 7.5#66ffff
Electricity 10 : aura circle GM 12.5#66ffff
Faithless : aura circle GM 32.5#ffff66
Fear 10 : aura circle GM 12.5#6600ff
Fear 20 : aura circle GM 22.5#6600ff
Fear 60 : aura circle GM 62.5#6600ff
Fire 5 : aura circle GM 7.5#cc0000
Fire 10 : aura circle GM 12.5#cc0000
Frightful Presence 180 : aura circle GM 182.5#9900ff
Frightful Presence 300 : aura circle GM 302.5#9900ff
Holy Aura : aura circle GM 22.5#ffff66
Horrific Appearance : aura circle GM 62.5#bbbbbb
Invisibility purge (Spell) : aura circle 52.5#8080ff
Magic Circle Against Evil (Spell) : aura circle GM 22.5#aaaaaa
Mucus Cloud : aura circle GM 7.5#666600
Protective Aura : aura circle GM 32.5#ff33ff
Shroud Of Flame : aura circle GM 22.5#ff3333
Silence (Spell) : aura circle 22.5#115511
Stench : aura circle GM 32.5#666600
Unholy Aura : aura circle GM 32.5#888888
Unnatural Aura : aura circle GM 32.5#33ff00

Hmm... I thought I had already done that. I know I thought of it at one point... wonder if I got sidetracked... ooooh shiny! ummm what was I saying?
