Sorry to bring up this often beaten horse but I don't get this.I'm new to these forums and I don't know if people frown on posting direct content from published books but I appreciate your work, thanks.
Thanks for this information, I have been looking for a way to save monster information into XML. Let me see if I can do some stuff using XSLT to make the data work with Veggiesama's framework.Stitched wrote:Sorry to bring up this often beaten horse but I don't get this.I'm new to these forums and I don't know if people frown on posting direct content from published books but I appreciate your work, thanks.
You can use something like Asmor's Monster Maker (http://www.asmor.com/programs/monstermaker/index.php) which accesses the DDI Monster Compendium and spits out HTML blocks of any monster in the list (including ones that dodongpogi has posted).
So why can't tokens be made with this data that's freely accessible from another site?
Because you have to log into the Compendium before you can extract data from it, even if you're using Asmor's tools. The data isn't freely accessible.Stitched wrote:Sorry to bring up this often beaten horse but I don't get this.I'm new to these forums and I don't know if people frown on posting direct content from published books but I appreciate your work, thanks.

It's still not free. The Goblin Cutter just means that someone used their tool to copy the Goblin Cutter from either the Monster Manual or the Compendium.Stitched wrote:http://www.encounteraday.com/2009/07/10 ... continued/
Spoke too soon. Well, it WAS working before and FREE but he's letting WoTC take over.
However, these guys have the same thing : http://tools.dungeonmastering.com/ and also for free.
