I'm new to these forums and I don't know if people frown on posting direct content from published books but I appreciate your work, thanks.

Sorry to bring up this often beaten horse but I don't get this.

You can use something like Asmor's Monster Maker (http://www.asmor.com/programs/monstermaker/index.php) which accesses the DDI Monster Compendium and spits out HTML blocks of any monster in the list (including ones that dodongpogi has posted).

So why can't tokens be made with this data that's freely accessible from another site?

Thanks for this information, I have been looking for a way to save monster information into XML. Let me see if I can do some stuff using XSLT to make the data work with Veggiesama's framework.

Because you have to log into the Compendium before you can extract data from it, even if you're using Asmor's tools. The data isn't freely accessible.

Spoke too soon. Well, it WAS working before and FREE but he's letting WoTC take over.

However, these guys have the same thing : http://tools.dungeonmastering.com/ and also for free.

It's still not free. The Goblin Cutter just means that someone used their tool to copy the Goblin Cutter from either the Monster Manual or the Compendium.

If you don't believe me, go search their monster cards for... Owlbear. You won't find it, even though it's in the Compendium. Why? Because they're not giving away WotC's monsters for free. When you go to the Dungeonmastering.com page to create a new monster, you are required to agree to this before you make a monster card public:

"Make this monster public. I understand that I this monster card will be available for all users. I acknowledge that there is no copyrighted material in this monster card."

I think you're confusing monster builders, which are perfectly legitimate, with monster collections, which are not. You can't redistribute WotC's content; they own it.

Is it okay if other people contribute to this collection?

Because I've been making a stack of tokens for my campaign (I'm running KotS) and I figured I may as well share.

Here's some I've done. Nothing else is a complete set - a few of one type here, a couple of one type there - but I'll upload what I have if people want.
