DN 4E FW

4e Interactive Character Sheet

DeviantNull's 4e Framework

Those are my suggestions.

I'd third "DeviantNull's D&D 4E Framework" or something similar. Sets it apart from the rest (via the name), while still making it very obvious what it's for, for newcomers.

Here are my suggestions. It seems you would want a new thread each version came out so you should likely specify the Major version number.

DN 5.x 4E Framework
DeviantNull 5.x 4E Framework

Well I dunno about each version. This one has been going since I started, and has seen about 4 major revisions. What is is now is pretty far from what it was when I started. But this thread has hit 1700 replies and nearly 32,000 views (granted, most of those are probably mine cause I'm an attention and post whore) and it's probably nearing the end of it's life. Also... I've been doing this for a year and a half?!?!

Though adding the version number might be smart.

The thread might be delayed by a day or so. I need to implement the last few tweaks folks have suggested as well as finish writing the posts and maybe make a few screenshots. I'm aiming to have the posts be the FAQ so as to make using the silly thing easier. That's a lot of typing.

Is there a beta version of the new framework?

Could you check how total Hit Points are calculated ?
I think it's wrong.
At level 1, it's adding the CON modifier instead of CON.

Or it seems wrong to me or I'm not entering them right.
Here's what I do :
- Set the Sheet to PC (otherwise it seems to calculate the HP in another way ?)
- Base : I enter the class base HP (ex : 15 for a swordmage)
- Per Level : 6
The character have 14 in Constitution.
So, at level 1, its total HP should be 29 (15+14), and 77 at level 9 ((15+14) + (6*8)).
But, the sheet shows 17 (15+ 2 => base + CON mod ?) at level 1, and 65 at level 9 (I guess 17 + (6*8)).

Yup, I"ll check it. I might be grabbing the wrong value from the ability array. Putting the name into the array shifted things 1 place. I thought I got all of them, but might have missed HP.

I think as soon as you released this version it should have gone into it's own thread. A lot of the Q&A from the last few pages would be invaluable as part of the FAQ for the new build.
You can always change the thread name later if you think of a better name for it.
IMHO it may pose a bit of confustion later as to what Q&A belongs to the new b uild vs. the old.

Minor Bug:
Options - Sheet Type - NPC Sheet. Shows the PC sheet.
PC Sheet Shows PC Sheet. And Auto-Detect Auto-Detects.

Sorry to ask but ... ... DN, when can we expect the next release ?

To be honest, I've got a game tomorrow night (that'll be friday afternoon for you, I guess), in wich we play with the english rules (Character Builder and Compendium FTW), and I was wondering if I have to save time before to prepare for DN v5b2 ...

Heh, I've been compulsively refreshing the forums, just waiting for the post... I'm guessing DN is caught up with the write-up, screenshots, etc. which are probably taking longer than he anticipated.

Peace,

Because it sounds like something that needs proclaimed, and I've felt like making a proclamation all day long:

I pronounce this thread closed!
