Should I go see the Avengers in 3D or 2D?

2d. I saw it in 3d and it wasn't worth it.
Re: Movies: Avengers
Thanks. I was wondering about that and was leaning towards 2D anyway. I think the only 3D movie I actually enjoyed more in 3D was Avatar.

Re: Movies: Avengers
Generally the better 3D movies are those that were designed to be 3D from the start, rather than after the fact. Avatar was good because it was really 3D, vs an overlay or touch-up. Going to see Avengers in 2D tonight myself.

Re: Movies: Avengers
It's only shown in 3D here so I'm not going to waste my money on 3D (which never looks better than 2D imo) so I'll wait for it to come out on rental.
Re: Movies: Avengers
I would suggest showing 45 minutes after the start unless you like a lonnnggg unecessary(IMO) build-up. The last hour is fraking tremendous with very good scenes and the hulk really shines.

@Everyone - Avengers has been re-released. Can anyone tell me the difference? Any extra scenes?

Re: Movies: Avengers
I'm sorry, but I've already lived through the 80s. I absolutely loathe 3d movies, period. They sucked then with the two-toned glasses, and technology has changed only how they are viewed, not their relevance. So, obviously my vote is for 2d heh.
As far as the re-release goes, I found this for you mate:

SourceIt’s probably also worth noting that Marvel Studios unintentionally got people thinking there might be additional new footage back on Thursday when the re-release announcement was made–but rather than taking advantage of that misapprehension, letting people come and then saying, “Hey, sorry, but we promised you no such thing,” they issued a clarifying statement, which probably cost them a few bucks.

Re: Movies: Avengers
Thanks for that. I heard the trailer at the end would be different, but I'm not sure if I misheard that or not. I loved the movie as is, but I saw a behind the scenes where a lot of content was taken out and they were expecting to release a directors cut (they called it something else) to help evolve some of the story that they glossed over in the final release. I was hoping this was it.
