MapTool 1.1 Development Release Build 8

Post by trevor »

I went ahead and put in the first introduction of stamps.

Keep in mind that it is currently very, very limited. But it should be enough to get a feel for them and use them.

Here's the method:

Open a token's properties dialog, set Shape to STAMP.

That's it :)

Now you can't select it from the map window.

To change it back, right click->Properties on the token panel, and change the Shape back.

(Shape by the way is mislabeled, it should be Type)

Sounds simple enough, and we just use free size if we want them larger than colossal right now?

Does the arrange function work the same for those?

Tokens underneath stamps will still be selectable right?

I Hadn't thought about stamps above tokens before, but there's some interesting effects to be had there.

Free size hasn't been implemented yet, but will be for the next iteration.

Yeah, the z-order works just like normal, so you can put stamps above tokens. When layers are introduced that process will be a little better defined (making a rooftop layer for example).

Tokens under a stamp are selectable, and don't cause the stack icon to show up.

Update: I made some further tweaks today on the stamps. And while I happened to be working on the Token Properties dialog, I went ahead and added a GM Notes section and a GM Name section, which are only visible by the GM. That way you can keep your own notes, and not share with the players.

I'm planning on doing a build some time tmrw (Sunday)
