Think the first post could be edited with this new information? Thanks!jay wrote:Source forge changed how you access SVN recently. The URL should be https://rptools.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rptools instead. Also, Trevor was having problems checking stuff in as well yesterday. Maybe he has some more info for you.
when i go to add new repository i get this msg just clicking through it though if going to be a problem please tell me

Not sure what you mean by that. You are, or should be, using the normal Sun Java compiler which if you are using Eclipse is pretty much transparent to you.wrathgon wrote:hey guys i dl the source code but cant seem to find way to run it, when i try to says cant run, i dl both maptool dir and tired can anyone walk me through how to compile and run this, i am not fimilar with this compilier
If you mean you're not sure how to run MT out of Eclipse then that is pretty straightforward. If you have checked out the source correctly you should have project under the Package Explorer called maptool[maptool/trunk]. Click on the little plus icon and it should list a bunch of jar files, some folders and way down at the bottom a file called MapToolClient.launch. Right click on that and select Run As.../Run and then click on the Run button when the dialog opens. MapTool should start if everything is copacetic. After this you can just click on the Green play button on the toolbar to run it again.
There are other ways as well but that should work.
OK, I give up.
I've got Eclipse running, but when I attempt to check out the repository, an authentication box pops up at about 66% progress as it is attempting to retrieve the /maptool/trunk/src/net/rptools/maptool/model/SightType.java file. Hitting "OK" on the box causes it to stop and report an authentication error.
Any ideas?
