Not being able to try it out right now, but what exactly does the drag and drop groups into MapTool do? Does it create tokens representing the group?
When you drag a group to map tool it will place tokens for each creature in the group that has a token image defined for it. The tokens will have the name specified in the group and will be assigned to the proper player if provided and strict token management is turned on. One token will be created for each creature's count. So if the creature has a count of 4 in the group frame it will create 4 tokens.
Ok, is there a reverse drag and drop from MapTool to InitTool? Meaning if I have players and monsters already defined can they be dragged to InitTool? Or do I have to create the characters in InitTool before the drag will be effective?

I added an image to the creatures that can be used as a token. If the creature doesn't have an image define, it will not create a token for that creature. They show up small in the group frame, but they are saved full sized. It places all tokens created into a single stack at the location of the drop on the map.

Right now you can not drag from map too to init too, that is next. You can drag from a group to both init tool and map tool, which is why I did that first.
