Has anyone sent a patch to Trevor to fix the problem with long macros not being submitted to the chat window because of the smiley parser?

If not, would anyone object if I send a patch that comments out the new smiley parsing, effectively rolling it back to where it was in August? Does anyone know why the smiley parsing was changed in late August/early September?

Or alternatively, the idea of removing smileys entirely has been brought up a few times. Is that a better way to go?

I personally would not miss smileys one bit.

You can disable Smileys in the Preferences window, that solves it...

Freaking Macs.

Having a configuration issue. It's not making the build :(

I'll do it on my XP machine at work tmrw during lunch.

I'm planning to buy some new hardware on the day-after-thanksgiving-day sale. Hopefully that'll get me back to 100%

When you have some time, I'd like to hear more about this.

I've got a DVD with Leopard on it now, so sometime in the next couple of weeks I'll be doing an upgrade from Tiger. That will give me (Apple-approved) access to Java 6 and I'm going to be interested in doing a full build from Eclipse...
