MapTool 1.1 Release Candidate progress/process

Post by trevor »

We're down to about 3 and a half trackers left for 1.1 WOOOOO

This is how it'll work:

- I'll finish the remaining trackers (and any new ones that come up in 1.1b30) over the next week
- We'll make a Release Candidate build of MapTool 1.1 and put it up on rptools.net
- You guys get to play with and test the RC version and I get to fix any major bugs you find over the course of about two weeks
- If we get to the end of that time and we feel it's a stable release, we'll move it to the official release
- During the time MapTool is in RC status, I'll be getting TokenTool 1.0 ready for release and preparing to do some crazy awesome feature writing for MT 1.2 (WOOOOO)

Thanks guys !

Honestly, my real motivation for getting 1.1 out is to replace that embarassing 1.0 release, and open the door to the more awesome 1.2 development :)

I feel like I'm watching an expansion team getting close to making the playoffs... won't be long 'til the championship! ;)

Way to go team! :)

My first session with MapTool is scheduled for next Wednesday, not a full blown session, but a crash course in MT for the players. So I should start being able to give solid game details on MT here shortly.

We will probably meet up around 9PM MST, and spend an hour or so, letting everyone get comfortable with MT and goofing off a little (been a while since some of us have all gotten together). Won't be any playing that week.

UPDATE: I'm down to one more feature to implement and a couple small bug fixes.

I expect that we'll go into release candidate status early next week.
