CoC Character Sheet based FW, in French for Now
This FW is currently in French, but I'll gladly translate it if there enough interest. This is actually the backbone for a FW that will allow gaming with other BRP based games (CoC, Stormbringer, Elric, Hawkmoon, Runequest II, etc...). Even if it's French, it pretty easy to start testing it: select or drop a token, click the "Ouvrir Fiche" macro in the Campaign panel, and start clicking on hyperlinks on the CS. I tried making the CS as close as possible to a regular BRP CS so it would be intuitive to use.
-- links on numbers typically are used to change the attribute's value (in most cases you can type a formula to do the dice roll and calculate for your. Ex: "54-1d6")
-- links on words trigger a macro to roll dices.
-- yellow and blue links allow to Modify something (add or modify skill/weapon/armour/gear etc...)
-- "mod" is for modify that specific item.
What's currently handled by the FW:
-- all the character stats
-- all the skills, gear "Inventaire", weapons, armour. In each case the owner of the token can either choose from a list of items, or create his own.
-- States. "Etats" on the CS. They, as well as the amount of Sanity or HPs, give modifiers to the skill rolls
-- Stat rolls (idea, know, etc...), skill rolls, damage rolls, SAN rolls
-- attack by clicking on the weapon hyperlink, or the "attaque" macro on the CS. handles target selection, range and size , special actions (aiming, movement etc...) and jamming. Calculates damage automatically. Damage is not (yet) applied to the target, that has to be done by hand.
-- Easy import of libraries for Weapons, SKills, Armour and gaer from an Excel spreadsheet (thanks for Wolph42 for this). Macros in the Campaign panel allow to import these lists, then filter them according to the Gaming period (Dark ages, In VIctus, 20s, modern, etc...) to adjust the catalogs and Skill lists to the specific Eon. MJs can add items to the spead sheet and add Eons to the Framework to match custom eras.
WIP
-- add spells
-- add sanity and insanity details
-- keep track of injuries
-- handle explosives

Re: CoC Character Sheet based FW, in French for Now
Looks good (très sympa). I especially like the lighting/FOW look. It helps a lot for the mood.
I should take an inspirational look at your FW.

IF you speak French, and/or are very visual, you can see more screenshots and details about this Framework here : http://jdrvirtuel.azureforum.com/t7582- ... cthulhu-v6
Re: CoC Character Sheet based FW, in French for Now
Any updates on this FW? Or work on moving it to english?
I'm just starting into RQ/Legends and would love to use this is a starting point.
Thanks!

Hi Isharen,
thanks for you inerest. There have been quite a few updates on the French side, but I didn't get a chance to work on the translation at all and I'm not sure when I'll be able to get started.
I have actually already created a RQ/Legend FW (in French alas). A forum thread with information, screenshot and download link can be found here :
http://jdrvirtuel.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=10082
It's automating a lot of the combat among others, and includes creatures tables of locations for NPCs.

Re: CoC Character Sheet based FW, in French for Now
Booga I tried your Legend Campaign file but when I try to open a character sheet I get an error:
A stack overflow has occurred.<p>This is commonly because a macro being used has exceeded the stack space specified when MapTool was executed.<br>Please run MapTool again and specify a larger stack size.
I am running 6 megs as my stack size currently, how large do I have to go?

For those interested, this FW has now been translated into English and is also fully compatible with Chaosium's V6. See this thread:

A similar Runequest I/II/ Legend FW (in English) is also available here : http://forums.rptools.net/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=21584
