Post subject: **IMPORTANT** PROPER PLACES TO POST "USER CREATIONS" THREADS
PostPosted: Mon Dec 19, 2011 4:03 pm
A big 'Howdy Hoo' for everyone enjoying Maptools and the other great RPTools programs. The "User Creations" forum is here for users to help each other with answers to their "how do I" and "has anyone already made a graphic/framework or know how to make them to do dancing bears" - as well as post what has been made for others to enjoy.

Here are what the colors below mean:
"SOMEONE wrote: - A description of what this sub-forum is for, with an attempt to be slightly humorous/light-hearted.
-- This blue text here - This is the top level sub-forum you see inside "User Creations"
----This burgandy here - The sub-sub forums that are located within the BLUE text sections.

We (mainly Azrhei and GamerDude) have a project going on to better organize the User Creations sub forums and move threads into the appropriate sub & sub/sub-forums. We ask that, to make this task just a little easier, everyone try to put their questions and creations into the right area. Some of the sub forums listed below aren't set up yet *(the plan is being finalized so we don't have to do this again). So if a sub-forum listed below isn't available yet, go ahead and put it in the main "User Creations" forum we'll get it moved once we've finished hanging the dry-wall and vacuuming the carpet.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this.
Azrhei and GamerDude

P.S. - A little teaser. Once all the sub-forums are made, the threads all tucked into the right place, and the Frameworks completely cataloged - a similar directory will be established and maintained for the other sub-forums. We gunna be organ-eye-zed! *grin* :P

THOSE NICE FILES WHICH MAKE MAPTOOLS PERFECT FOR YOUR GAME SYSTEM SubForum wrote:
-- Campaign Frameworks
Threads for announcing/supporting frameworks (FW) that support a particular game system, asking if someone might have done a FW for your game (but you can't find one listed in the directory). Three sub/sub-forums exist for the most popular systems - which will be expanded as other systems warrant being gathered in their own sub/sub-forum. The directory can be found here: MT Framework Directory **LISTING**

Is there anyway we can get a subforum for the older versions of dungeons dragons BECMI, 1e,2e and the variants like Osric, Castles and Crusades and the like? i dont care if it is a subforum on its own or nested in with 3.5/pathfinder as long as we have a place for it we may be a smaller community than the mainstream 3.5/Pathfinder/4e Community but it would be nice to have us all in one place.

Yeah, that's a possibility. Probably under D&D since anywhere else makes it look like we're not even sticking to our own categorizations. :|

I'll let GD think on this a bit before creating the forum, in case he -- or anyone else -- wants to chime in.

Hey all, just logged in for a moment.

I think that, if there is the need, under the "Campaign Frameworks" area we can put *one* sub/sub-forum that is "AD&D/OSRIC/AD&D like clones - anything before 3rd ed"

I would ask we get all the other changes made at least at the same time we put this one up.
