Converting an rpmap file to Jpeg

Post by Deadjedi »

Is it possible to convert a map made in MT to a Jpeg file and if so how do I do it?

Depends. Is it a single image? Have you tried exporting it?

It's an entire map I made of a village, I've exported it a few times and I can only export it as an rpmap file

I was able to use File | Export | Screenshot As... with the following settings:
* Entire Map
* As Selected (only Background and Object layer checked)
* GM (view)

Browse to the folder you want to save the image to. If it doesn't put a file name then put your own (ie test.png). This will save it as a png file. You can then convert it to jpg with various programs (gimp).

It took me awhile to get the settings so it would export everything. Make sure under advanced it's under buffered image. It could fail if your map is just too big to be exported.

I followed the directions and it didn't work, either that or the picture is exporting to a place I just can't find it.

Play around with the browse location. Try to export just the current view to have the file print and go from there.

No the File System tab of the Export Screenshot popup.

Yea that's what I mean but the screenshot isn't being saved to the place I set the location to. I'm also using version 1.3.b89 does that make any difference?
