My goal today was to create more quick maps or maps for unexpected encounters.
So I took to the ocean.
Load this map as unbound and you will have an instant ocean. When zoomed way out it looks pretty horrible but when zoomed in to the size of your playing area, it works well. Don't expect white caps; this is deep ocean. (perhaps I can work on a random white cap overlay some day
)
The file size is under 100k so there will be little overhead. If anyone wants a 366k version, let me know.

Very cool, Dorpond! i'll have to try and render up some realistic ocean in Vue and see if you can wotk your magic on that as well.

So who here thinks of the Johnny Quest episode when someone mentions the Sargasso Sea?

Here is yet another Ocean but this time added (or tried very hard at anyway) a little more movement to the waters.
This file is roughly 350k.
Again, add it Unbound and you will have a nice ocean to battle in.

This second ocean rocks! I'd use the first one you posted for undersea encounters.

Thanks guys! It looks pretty cool when unbound in Maptool - once Trevor gets the free size stuff worked out, we can get our ships for Xen'drik loaded and ready for departure!
See you on the docks at 5:30AM

lol, Johnny Quest, Sargasso didn't do it for me. But any time I hear one of those sound effects on another cartoon, there I go. That and Fantastic Voyage.

I'll be proud to say "I did that" when loading up a stock map
Take it my friend - I made it for everybody anyway
I have a funny feeling that Steel might make a better though in Vue - we will see

Question for the community: Any other quick maps you would like? I might work on that cobblestone idea or perhaps the rocky cave. A better desert?
