Here's a little test with the Lunarcell, Solarcell, and Glitterati PS plugins. It's got huge potential. The full sized image is here.

Oh yeah, feel free to make a better space background than the one I made for a quick map - yours look much better.

Those rock!

And here's a Practical Use Case with Maptool, using a starfield as an unbounded map, the star stamp as Free Size, and three planet stamps.

Now, what would be nice here is if the object draw tools placed the drawn objects (squares, ovals, etc) as moveable, editable objects. Then I could draw orbital lines right in Maptool. As it stands drawing an oval just right the first time is extremely difficult, and once its drawn I can't do anything with it.

Also, would be great if the text properties could be tweaked, like floating text (no white box around it.), some basic effects like glow, drop shadow, etc. And of course, being able to select the font.

Vector vs raster drawables has been discussed a couple times in these forums. There's a lot of value in both camps. For now they'll stay raster, at least for now. However, there is an outstanding feature to make the drawables movable before "commiting" them, that should help. I can't find the tracker for it, so I made a new one :)

Cool, tracker added (under "Improved labels")

And perhaps being able to move the text as a token/stamp, attach it to an object, etc.
