Yikes that's a big map. It seems to me that if you (generally speaking) need that kind of detail, then you should use SVG (vector) based images. Saves a crap load of memory, and has infinite ability to scale.

Yeah, I think a building that size is way too large. What was mentioned up there? The chimney is 10 feet long? Is he trying to make a REAL sized house because that is probably to scale then. :)

Can anyone use images that large? For anything? (printing, electronically, etc)

Just curious.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a SVG image and how do i make one? A current map from Dundjinni that I made required a high res due to footprints on the floor that could be followed. A smaller sized map would have saved me the 2 days it took to search this forum and the java forum to figure out how to make java max out more memory.

As a bonus, I did learn a lot about RPTools and Java :) .

Here are more generic insides I made for Hylas's building Set1Misc3.

And here is a Bank I made:

Notice that the secure area walls are lined with steel. I was going to put a lever and switch in the secure area to open a secret door leading to the basement but I figured it would be just as easy to stamp them down if needed.

Again, the inside of the buildings can be stamped down in Maptool as shown below:

Here is the building template that I used to create the inside so that it would match the building:

Hope you enjoy!

Very cool. I don't recall seeing a fantasy bank map before. Could be fun dreaming up magic-based security measures, and playing out a bank heist in a fantasy game.

Same Floor Plan as above but decided on another tavern. You can never have enough taverns! ;)

My thoughts were this: I wanted to create a little classier tavern but not royalty. I figured make it 3 tier - low half, balcony and an upstairs (not included). This gives it a feel that there is 3D space to it. The balcony area has a piano player that plays there regularly. It gets pretty wild on the weekends! They don't have a kitchen here and usually get their food from the restraunt next door who they have an agreement with. They deliver the food as an order is placed. I figured upstairs could be another bar area - this place is a hoot! No bedrooms here! :)

Note: You may want to stamp windows where you see fit. I left these out since every GM has different ideas about windows.

I hope you enjoy! I can't wait to see some that others make!

Awesome. I like the two detail levels.

Good job creating an upscale feel.

Thanks Heruca!

Here is another one for those who wish to make this building into anything they want. Just stamp down your goodies!

Again, these are all posted at rpgmapshare.com

Hope you enjoy!

Using the template above, I turned that Tavern into a Barn.

Enjoy!
